He played at the Next Generation ATP Finals 2018 held in Milan, where he won against Jaume Munar and lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas and Frances Tiafoe, In November 2018.

Hurkacz defeated Corentin Moutet in the 1st round and then went on to victory against No. 1 seeded player Kei Nishikori, at the Dubai Tennis Championships 2019.
